Call for Submissions

Theme:  Case Studies in Diamond Open Access Publishing

The IOAP Annual Conference is convened to:

• Share best practice in diamond open access publishing nationally and beyond (journals or monographs that are free to publish in and free to read)
• Identify opportunities for collaboration
• Discuss challenges and opportunities in relation to diamond open access publishing
• Promote a culture of innovation in diamond open access publishing
• Strengthen and promote the IOAP community of practice

The 2024 inaugural conference which takes place online in February 2024, seeks submissions from diamond open access publishers of book, journals and OERs including scholarly societies, libraries, academic institutions, universities presses, academics and students.

The goal of the event is to highlight the broad range of diamond open access publishing activity in Ireland with reference to publishing ethos, content, platforms, open access publishing model, funding model etc. The event will also incorporate inaugural IOAP Publishing Awards.
